About 6-Letter Lingle Strategy Edition (English)
This is puzzle #13 of the Lingle Strategy Edition, generated on March 14, 2026. Each day at midnight Central Time, a new 6-letter word is selected from a curated English dictionary. You have six attempts to identify the hidden word using logical deduction and vocabulary knowledge.
After each guess, the game provides color-coded feedback on every letter: purple indicates the letter is in the correct position, yellow means the letter appears in the word but in a different position, and gray confirms the letter is not in the word at all. This feedback system allows you to systematically narrow down the possibilities with each attempt.
Strategy Tips for 6-Letter Words
Solving 6-letter word puzzles requires a balance of vocabulary breadth and deductive reasoning. Start with a guess that includes the most common letters in English — in English, letters like E, A, R, S, and T appear most frequently. Your opening guess should ideally contain no repeated letters to maximize the information gained from the first attempt.
Pay attention to letter position frequencies. For example, S is extremely common as the first letter in 5-letter English words, while E frequently appears at the end. Understanding these patterns helps you make more informed guesses as the puzzle progresses. The Strategy Edition's real-time tips panel above the game board provides position-specific guidance after each guess.
The difficulty rating shown on each puzzle (Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert) is calculated based on the answer word's letter composition — words with common letters and good vowel-consonant balance are rated easier, while words with unusual letter combinations earn higher difficulty ratings. After completing the puzzle, the post-game analysis evaluates your performance with an efficiency rating based on how many guesses you used relative to the optimal path.
Multilingual Challenges
Lingle Strategy Edition is available in 7 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian. Each language features its own curated word list and language-specific keyboard layout, including special characters like umlauts (German), accented vowels (French, Spanish, Portuguese), and diacritics (Romanian).
Playing in multiple languages is an excellent way to expand your vocabulary and improve your understanding of word structure across Romance and Germanic language families. The game uses 6 word lengths (4 through 9 letters), creating 42 unique daily puzzles. Shorter words (4-5 letters) tend to have more valid possibilities, making them surprisingly challenging, while longer words (8-9 letters) reduce the candidate pool but require broader vocabulary knowledge.
